A Kitten in Wonderland

Alice who is about 5 - 6 weeks old was saved from near death this morning after being tossed around in traffic on New Providence Blvd. Alan and Veronica just happened to see her and rescued her.

Then several wonderful people passed the word around and after going to one of our great vets for her combo test for Feline Leukemia and FIV (negative results for both – yeah!). Alice came to my house where she promptly got a well deserved bath.

There were fleas on her and so much dirt that you could barely tell she was a white kitten. She had a bruised chin and was shaking so badly I thought she would fall out of my hands.

Then after brushing and blow drying we took about half a bottle of KMR and fell sound asleep on my partner’s lap. Safe, secure, warm and dry.

After our nap the first thing we did was find the food bowl and jump right in as you can see.

Then Alice tried to snuggle up for a long summer’s nap right in the middle of the food bowl. More pictures will follow as Alice grows up. Alice will be up for adoption from Cats Are Us in about a week so keep an eye out for her and I know no one can resist this face! She is so darn cute! Lucky girl, this one! Thanks for saving her life to the Harville’s..Alan Harville and Veronica Harville.
